Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 16/07/2026
Welcome to PropWiz. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PropWiz property portfolio tracking service (the “Service”), available at wizit.co.nz. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
PropWiz is a free tool that allows New Zealand property investors to track and manage information about their residential and commercial investment properties, including rental income, expenses, loans, and portfolio performance.
PropWiz is a tracking and organisational tool only. It does not provide financial, tax, legal, or property management advice, and nothing in the Service should be relied upon as such.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when using the Service, particularly the property and financial data you choose to enter.
- If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account, you should notify us as soon as possible at [insert contact email].
4. Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where permitted by law
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service
- Use the Service to store or process information belonging to someone else without their consent
5. No Professional Advice
The Service is designed to help you organise and track your own property portfolio information. It is not a substitute for professional advice. In particular:
- Any figures, categorisations, or reports generated by the Service (including anything related to GST, IRD reporting categories, or tax positions) are provided for organisational convenience only and should not be relied on as tax advice.
- The Service does not provide legal advice regarding tenancy law, including the Residential Tenancies Act 1986, or other property-related legislation such as the Brightline test or interest deductibility/ring-fencing rules.
We recommend consulting a qualified accountant, tax advisor, or lawyer for advice specific to your circumstances.
6. Free Service, Provided “As Is”
PropWiz is provided free of charge. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, temporarily or permanently, at any time.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PropWiz and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or financial decisions made based on information within the Service.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Your Data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and store the information you provide. You retain ownership of the property and financial data you enter into the Service.
9. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Service itself (excluding the data you enter) — including its design, branding, and underlying software — remain the property of PropWiz and its operators.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, misused the Service, or engaged in unlawful activity. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us at [insert contact email].
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent changes.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
