This Privacy Policy explains how PropWiz (“PropWiz”, “we”, “us”, “our”), available at wizit.co.nz, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our property portfolio tracking service (the “Service”).
PropWiz is a free tool built for New Zealand property investors. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect basic account details such as your name and email address, used to create and secure your login.
Property and financial information you provide: To use the Service, you enter information about your own properties and finances, including (but not limited to) property values, rental income, expenses, loan balances, and tenancy details. This information is entered voluntarily by you for the purpose of tracking your own portfolio.
Technical information: Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical data such as login session cookies, IP address, and browser type, used only to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected only to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Calculate and display your portfolio metrics (cashflow, equity, reports, etc.)
- Communicate with you about your account, where necessary
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.
3. Where Your Information Is Stored
Your account and portfolio data is stored in the Service’s database, hosted on our web hosting infrastructure. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect this data, including secure authentication (via Ultimate Member) and access controls that keep your portfolio data private to your account.
No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and while we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Third-Party Services
PropWiz is built on WordPress and the Ultimate Member plugin, which handle account registration and login. These platforms may process limited technical data (such as login cookies) as part of their normal operation. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising services within the Service. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.
5. Cookies
The Service uses cookies required for login sessions and basic site functionality. These are necessary for the Service to work and are not used for advertising or tracking across other websites.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and portfolio information for as long as your account remains active.
